Cook time: Under 10
30ml (2 tablespoons) Organic Coconut Oil – or other oil of choice
Pot with a tight-fitting lid (preferably glass, so you can watch it pop)
One small helper, dressed in kitchen gloves and an apron
Set the pot on medium high, and drop in the coconut oil to melt
When the oil has just melted, drop in 2 corn kernels and secure the lid
Wait and watch with anticipation until the kernels pop! Once they do, you’re ready to go!
Add the popcorn to the pot. (Hold the lid as a shield from the oil and pour the popcorn in, away from your body.) Secure the lid.
Holding the lid, shake the pot a little to make sure the popcorn disburses evenly.
Wait and watch as the popcorn fills the pot. Once it reaches the top and the popping starts to slow down, remove it from the heat
Transfer to a bowl, add salt or other spices if using, and dig in!
Tips and Tricks:
Mid way through, carefully pick up the pot (holding the lid with your thumbs) and give it a little shake. This prevents popcorn from sticking to the bottom and burning.
