Homemade banana ice cream is a quick and healthy treat to whip up! The best part is, it only takes one ingredient. No dairy, no added sugar, no junk... just bananas. Here's what you need, and how to do it.
Blender or food processor: No worries if you don't have a high power blender. Any kind will work, it just might take a little longer to come together.
Ripe bananas - As many as you'd like. Sliced and frozen.
Peel, slice and freeze bananas.
Remove bananas from the freezer and drop them in a blender.
Blend bananas until smooth. Scrape the side of the blender if they clump up. You might need several minutes before the bananas start creaming together, just be patient and keep blending!
This ice cream is delicious on it's own, but you're welcome to add additional ingredients. Nuts, chocolate, caramel, strawberries, or cinnamon all make great finishing touches.
